I always believed in fairy tales. So much so that I made a career out of them. As a wedding planner, I made it my goal to perfect everyone else's happily-ever-after. I even believed in finding mine once, too, until one man left me alone and pregnant –crushing my dreams, and leaving me jaded.

Blake
I was living every man’s dream; I had the career I’d always wanted, my soulmate in my corner, an adorable daughter, and a son on the way. Everything was perfect until it wasn't. A series of unforeseen events tragically altered my path. In the blink of an eye, I was left a widower and a single father of two.

I wasn't seeking love again, but she found me. Now I just needed to break down her walls and help her fall.

3.5 Star Review by Ashley

Cue the swoon. I am head over heart for some Blake. I remember really liking him in Rich and Brooke's story and I was so excited to see that M.C. Decker was giving him his own book. Unforeseen was an emotional journey from the first page but it was also laced with humor and steam.

I really liked Cassidy. She was strong and sassy and determined to give her sweet girl the best life she could. When she comes face to face with Mr. Handsome himself at her besties wedding, there is no denying the attraction. Too bad Blake is off limits and he lives halfway across the country. I loved how she shut him down. But Blake would not be deterred. There was something about Cass that he just couldn't get out of his head.

I have to say one of my favorite things about this book was how much both Cass and Blake's children were part of their connection. They got "parent time" but they also got their adult time too. These two were so sexy together and things were looking up for them until the demons of their past came back.

I will say that for as much as I was into the story, the last bit got a little too cheesy for me. However, it was just the thing Blake and Cass needed to get their head and hearts on the same page. I really enjoyed catching up with some of my favorite characters from M.C. Decker's earlier works, too. Overall, Unforeseen was a sweet and sentimental second chance romance and that ending left me with a big old happy smile on my face.
