Wes Silver wasn’t looking for love, but when July Mayson literally knocks him on his ass during their first encounter, his world is turned upside down by the quirky blonde, and every moment with her makes him more determined to protect her. July Mayson doesn’t understand the pull she feels toward the bad boy biker Wes Silver, but she knows being with him is like nothing she’s ever felt before. Now all she has to do is tell her overprotective father, Asher Mayson, that she’s found her boom. Review by Amanda The Until Series is one of my all time favorites and when I found out that Aurora Rose Reynolds was doing a spin off featuring the daughters of the Mayson men, I think I shrieked in absolute joy. I always knew two things going into this book: 1. Asher Mayson was going to be a hard ass when it came to his daughter dating 2. July Mayson was going to be one tough cookie - with Asher as her Dad and November as her mom, she was sure to be an absolute spitfire. This book did not disappoint - it was full of passion, humour, romance, family, and of course as we have come to expect hot alpha males. We are reintroduced to July at 26, she is a daredevil just like her Mom. She rides a bike, she's sassy, intelligent and full of life. Almost as the book begins, she has a run in with a local MC and is struck dumb by one of the members, Wes. BOOM! He is scary and hot - a lethal combination, he is also built and has the most beautiful eyes she has ever seen. The meeting of the pair is not off to a good start as July accidentally tasers him (yip, thanks to Asher Mayson for making sure his baby girl is protected). After a faceoff between her and the bikers, she quickly goes back to the point where all the trouble started and rescues the bird that set things in motion. Wes cannot believe that she started all this trouble over a bird, but July soon sets him straight and tells him of her job as a vet. This leads to Wes tracking July down at her vet practice and adopting two dogs. Wes is no idiot, and although he is more than commitment phobic, he also knows that the attraction that he feels for July is not something that comes along every day. Although initially completely hesitant, July agrees to go on a date with Wes, she cannot understand the crazy attraction she feels towards him and although it scares her, she knows it is not something that she can turn a blind eye to. Things in the small town in Tennessee also seem to be bubbling over, as July starts finding wounded dogs being left outside her vet's practice. It is clear that someone in town is hosting illegal dog fighting and bringing the losing dogs to July to repair or put down. Wes knows that this means trouble and tells July she needs to steer clear, but of course being November's daughter, she does the exact opposite. This leads to more than one altercation between the two which of course has either hilarious or panty melting consequences. Wes is remarkably like her alpha Dad and knows just what to do to get July in line. "I have grown up around crazy-ass alpha men my whole life, men like my dad and uncles, and as much as I watch Wes walk to his bike, I know the kind of man he is. "What have I done?" I whisper." - Until July, Aurora Rose Reynolds As always Aurora Rose Reynolds blows me away with the amount of emotion she stirs in me for these characters. They are like my family, and each book is like visiting them and catching up. Until July is no exception - I swooned over this book. July is a beauty - not only visually, but on the inside too. I loved that she was the incredibly strong woman character who had her own career and was not afraid to stand on her own two feet. She exuded confidence but at the same time she was soft and feminine. Wes displays the typical tendencies of an alpha male - he tells July exactly how it is and expects her to heed him. He is full of passion, power and of course is easy on the eyes. I loved his dirty talking ways and I swooned for how protective and domineering he was of July. "We can be friends," I compromise, and he grins. "Sure, baby. Friends," he mutters then steps closer to me and I cover my mout again when I see his eyes drop to my lips. "Don't worry. I won't kiss you until you're begging me to," he says. " - Until July, Aurora Rose Reynolds This book is fast paced and filled with action and suspense, which really got my heart racing. You were never quite sure where things were going to lead or if things were as they seemed, and I really loved that aspect. It sets itself apart from your everyday romance by keeping you on the edge of your seat and your heart racing. I loved that as always the heroine in Aurora's book is strong and self reliant and of course the hopeless romantic in me loves the fact that when each of these Mayson's meets their mate - there's a BOOM! SWOON! We are also given glimpses of all the Mayson children but the focus is obviously on July and her sisters as well as Jax (Cash's son). We get to experience Asher as older and hopefully wiser, especially when it comes to the women in his life. I love the relationship between Asher and July, it melted my heart at how close they were and all the things they shared with one another. Asher Mayson still has it ladies and he will continue to make us swoon until the end of time. I am giving Until July 5 MAGNIFICENT stars. Another beautiful story from the fabulously talented Aurora Rose Reynolds. She keeps me thoroughly enthralled and engrossed with all of these characters, almost to the point, where I think I may have convinced myself they actually exist. Meet Aurora Rose Reynolds NEW YORK TIMES & USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR Aurora Rose Reynolds started writing so that the over the top alpha men that lived in her head would leave her alone. When she's not writing or reading she spends her days with her very own real life alpha who loves her as much as the men in her books love their women and their Great Dane Blue that always keeps her on her toes.
