![]() Some universal truths refuse to be ignored. Peanut butter and jelly are a match made in heaven. Spaghetti and meatballs are best friends forever. And guys like Tyler Knight don’t go for girls like Cam Emerson. She knew from the second she met him that he didn’t belong on her bookshelf, the six-foot-six ex-tight end with a face so all-American, it could have sold apple pie. So she shelved him next to the supermodels and rock stars and took her place on her own shelf — the one with the flannel-clad, pasty-faced comic book nerds. Most of her boyfriends have existed between the pages of books, but rather than worrying over her own lacking love life, she puts all her energy into playing Cupid, using her job at the book bar, Wasted Words, as her stomping ground. Tyler Knight always looks on the bright side. His career-ending injury turned into a job as a sports agent. A horrible breakup led him to Cam, his quirky, smart roommate who is far more beautiful than she realizes. She’s made it perfectly clear she’s not interested in him — not like that at least — but if she ever changes her mind, he won’t hesitate. Because he doesn’t see the lines she’s drawn between them, as much as she insists that they’re there. Deep down he knows that despite their differences, they’re a match well made. *A romantic comedy inspired by Jane Austen’s Emma* Review by Lorena ![]() This book was hands-down freaking adorable. I loved every single word uttered in this book. I found myself so immersed with it that I did not put the kindle down until I devoured it. The whole aspect of the girl being the geek and the guy being the hunk just did me in and I love reading love stories like that. Two people that are complete opposites that they don't think they fit together, but somehow when you see or picture them as a couple, you know they belong together. Tyler was a total hunk and girls were seriously into him. He just couldn't find it in him to date at the time, he was just plainly not interested. He loved spending time and hanging out with his best friend and roommate, Cam. He couldn't wait to sit down and watch t.v. with her or just simply have a chat or hang out. So why was he just not into other girls and would always get excited when he would spend time with Cam? Cam was scared, plain and simple. She was hurt before but she shouldn't let one bad experience ruin it for her now. It was like years ago and she definitely needs to let go and find herself her prince charming. The problem is that no guy could ever do it for her. She thought that she was destined to date geeky guys like her because if she ever dated a guy like Tyler she knew that she would get hurt again. The only thing is that Tyler is not like any other guy. He doesn't date girls to use them or humiliate them. He genuinely cares about the girls he dates. He's not into one-night stands and he likes being in relationships. I found it cute that it took them both a while to realize that they were into each other. Cam kept letting her insecurities get in the way and was bound to lose the only and best thing that could or would happen to her. Tyler kept trying to prove to Cam time and time again that he was not like other guys. He was really into her and would do anything to prove to this girl that he was in it for the long haul. I loved how Cam was like cupid, always trying to fix everyone up, except herself. She would always find people and do the whole matchmaker thing. She just always failed to try and find herself someone (hmmm, why is that?) When she thought she found someone for Tyler, that's when she realized that what her true feelings were for Tyler. Tyler and Cam were an amazingly cute couple. The geeky cute girl with the handsome ex-footballer. I don't think it could have gotten any cuter than what it was :) Total 5 star read <3 <3 (I need a Tyler in my life {sigh}). ABOUT THE AUTHOR Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life: a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, even though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. Her favorite word starts with f and ends with k. From roots in Houston, to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's sleeping, cleaning, or designing graphics.
