Emotional, angsty, new adult romance. Standalone title.

Gabby

Looking back, I should have seen the signs. Perhaps I did, but I subconsciously chose to ignore them.

From the time I was ten, when I first met Dylan, I knew he was my forever guy. Back then, I couldn’t put words to what I was feeling, but, as the years progressed, I came to recognize it for what it was—soul-deep love. The kind only very few people ever get to experience.

Dylan was more than just my best friend, my childhood sweetheart, my lover. He was my soul mate. We were carved from the same whole—destined to be together forever.

Until he changed.

And I believed I was no longer good enough.

Until he shattered me so completely, it felt like I ceased to exist.

And I’d never experienced such heart-crushing pain.

Until he leveled me a second time, and I truly wanted to die.

But I had to stay strong because I wasn’t alone in this cruel twist of fate.

I look to the sky, pleading with the stars, begging someone to tell me what I should do because I don’t know how to deal with this. I don’t know how to cope when my forever has changed, and I can’t help wondering if I had seen the signs earlier, if I’d pushed him, would it have been enough to save us?

Or had fate already decided to alter our forever?

5 Star Review by Lorena.
I am still trying to compose myself after finishing this stunning book.

I can't express how much this book touched my heart, I was a complete basket case and had to use almost a full box of kleenex. Talk about getting your heart ripped out so many times it's not even funny. I don't know if I would have been able to endure much more heartache in this story.

Gabby and Dylan started off as best friends and soon became boyfriend/girlfriend. They were so madly in love with each other that nothing existing beyond their eyes other than themselves. They had a beautiful relationship, they cared for each other so much that it was sickening at times. But nothing ever lasts perfect in a perfect relationship.

Gabby started noticing changes in Dylan and they weren't nice changes either. He started acting really mean and aggressive towards her and that's not who Dylan was. Their relationship started to spiral out of control and eventually ended up in a break up.

Gabby was devastated as Dylan was her whole world, but I give this girl props because even though he was her first love and her first everything, she was more determined to care about herself and her feelings even if it broke her heart. She was a selfless person, who everyone loved and adored because she was a great person, but you can't always forgive and forget and she wasn't willing to forgive Dylan for his behavior.

Gabby soon discovers that she has feelings for Slater, her brother's best friend. Slater has harbored feelings for Gabby since the day he started hanging out with this family. But he knew that she only had eyes for Dylan and he wasn't one of those who would break up a couple.

Gabby and Slater start a romance and everything is going perfect, until it isn't. They also end up having issues, nothing compared to what she was having with Dylan but eventually it also ruined their relationship.

Now, Gabby has to make some serious decisions, decisions that will affect them all.

This book had my complete attention (no lie). I was so, so, so consumed in this story and was experiencing the worse case of heartbreak EVER!

I have read some pretty sad books lately, but I don't think any have been as affecting as When Forever Changes. This one is going on my top 2018 reads for damn sure!

Siobhan you really have WON my heart with this book. One of the best!!
