Do you know what it feels like right before lightning strikes? How you can feel the current running through your veins? The trembles of warning that ripple through the air? It was a thrill Tamar King chased all her life until it became the very thing she had to escape.
For the last four years, Tamar King has hidden herself in an isolated world she created. She was safe. No one could touch her. Until Lyrik West walked through her door.
He’s the lead guitarist for Sunder and everything she can never have. The dark and beautiful rock star becomes everything she craves.
Lyrik’s life has been devoted to his band and that success has cost him. Bitter, hard, and filled with regret, he refuses to lose himself again, but from the moment he sees her, he wants one night with Tamar King.
The gorgeous bartender is more than he bargained for. Their attraction is consuming. Their desire overpowering. With one touch, they ignite.
But is it worth the cost of getting burned?
She’s a gorgeous nightmare and he’s a wicked dream…

WHERE LIGHTNING STRIKES, a Bleeding Stars Stand-Alone Novel

I didn't think this series could get any more interesting or sexy for that matter!  Holy smokes, Lyrik is freaking hot....if I thought Sebastian was hot.....oh lordy, lord Lyrik is right behind Baz on that one!!

Each character from the Sunder band has their own story to tell and so far Sebastian's and Lyrik's have amazed me.  It's funny how each individual always has a story to tell about himself/herself.  And it's always a painful one at that.

Lyrik promised himself that he would never fall in love again after his painful past and what he went through.  But when Tamar comes crashing into his world, he can't help but to feel something for her, even though he doesn't want to.  He asked her to give him just two months and then they would both go their merry ways (easier said than done)!  Tamar agreed even though she knew that she would end up hurt in the end because as much as she was guarding her heart and didn't want to fall in love, it was just inevitable when it came down to this sinful man.

Tamar and Lyrik had their ups and downs in this story and they each had secrets that they didn't want to divulge, but with time, they started trusting each other and Tamar was the first to break her silence and told Lyrik everything about her past and what she was running away from.  Lyrik felt protective of her and wanted to be her protector, but at the same time, he felt like he was getting too close when he felt like he didn't deserve her.

But things change and they both realize that there is more to life and could forgive and forget.  They were each other's rock even though they failed to see that at first.

Tamar and Lyrik really put a dent to my heart and I loved their story.  It made me sad for them but also very happy to see them work out their differences and move forward with each other.

This book was about forgiving their past life choices and move on to better things in life and be happy.

Ms. Jackson has such a unique style of writing and her Bleeding Stars series has earned five stars so far for each book I've read in this series!  I can't wait to continue reading about these boys and the adventures they will take me on with their life stories!

A completely 5 star read for Lyrik and Tamar's story!!
