5 Star Review by AshleyI admit it, I didn't even read the blurb for Wherever it Leads before I picked it up. The teasers I had been seeing online had piqued my interest. And having never been let down by Adriana Locke in the past I decided to go for it. The opening confused me and made me what to find out just what in the world was going on to have someone so riled up. As it turns out, that someone was Mr. Fenton Abbott. YOWZA! That man is 127% pure alpha male all rolled up in a nice designer suit. While he is broody, intense and a force to be reckoned with he is also very lonely and that is what drew me to him. Adding the fact that he is drop dead gorgeous doesn't hurt either. I loved how he and Brynne met. It was bananas- literally. Brynne, where do I start with her. She is a walking contradiction. Full of grace and a sarcastic sense of humor but lost and unsure of where she wants to go with her life. When fate throws an unexpected, but happy surprise on her already reeling world she is unsure of how to proceed. With the the help of her hilarious best friend, Presley, she decides to take Fent up on his offer. There is absolutely NO denying their chemistry. These two really know how to steam up the pages. But there is also an underlying sweetness behind all the intensity. Brynne and Fenton have a connection that neither can explain, nor do they try to, they just want to see where the road takes them. While I knew all along on some level that Fenton was involved in the turmoil that was destroying Brynne from the inside out, I had no clue to what extent he was involved. When the shocking truth came to light it slayed every beautiful moment they had shared. My heart hurt for both of them. There was no good choice for Fenton to make- he was losing either way. And Brynee was more broken than when we first met her. I won't tell you how it all ends but let me just say that my jaw was on the floor more than once. Adriana Locke kept me guessing with all the twists and turns along that way. I had absolutely NO clue how everything was going to pan out for Brynne and Fenton. Wherever it Leads is the perfect title for this book- because you truly never know where the road or river is going to take you.
