Don’t let my petite and innocent appearance fool you, because I’m one person you don’t want to cross. I’m Micah, the youngest member of Resurrection…If only they knew how young. My fake ID says I’m twenty-one. And I will be…in four years. What can I say? I blossomed early. Home sucked, so I left, determined to do something with my life. Landing the gig as lead vocalist in the band was a dream come true. I’ve worked hard to make something of myself and nothing is going to ruin that for me. Then He showed up. Saxon Waite, ex bad boy of rock. He’s hot as hell and so into me. But he’s also twenty-five. I don’t want to lie to him, but if the truth comes out I’ll lose everything. Including him. Review by BrittanyMicah Lawson is twenty-one years old. Well, actually, she’s seventeen, but nobody knows that but her. She had to get away from her family, well foster families, and the only way she could successfully get away was to create another life. Her waitressing job barely gets her by, and she doesn’t love it. So she auditions for a band that’s on the rise and becomes the lead singer. The plus side is that the manager is Saxon Waite, ex rocker and current hottie. They start to spend more and more time together, growing closer romantically. Micah is struggling with the decision of whether or not she should tell him who she really is… This book was great! I love Missy Johnson. She is one of those authors that pops out a book about every two months, but they’re all wonderful! This one is no exception. The connection between Saxon and Micah is totally real. They have a real life situation, being close to each other on a bus for two weeks, no room to be far apart. It happens. That’s a huge plus for me, when something written in a book could actually happen in real life. I give this book four and a half stars, though. I loved it, the sex was hot, but I just didn’t connect to the characters and that’s a big thing for me. I have to be able to feel with them, and I wasn’t able to do that with these two. This is a pretty quick read, so if you’re looking for something you can knock out in a day, this is it. I think you’ll really enjoy it. About Missy JohnsonMissy lives in a small town in Central Victoria with her husband, and her confused pets (a dog who think she's a cat, a cat who thinks he's a dog...you get the picture). When she's not writing, she can usually be found looking for something to read.
